Matthew Wilson to Give a PBI Webinar with Steve Potako
Martin Law partner Matthew Wilson will be giving a PBI webinar with fellow attorney Steve Potako and Director of Adjudication, the Honorable Joe DeRita on April 1, 2020. The webinar will include discussions about the Litigation of COVID-19 cases and the current state of the Workers’ Compensation Practice through telephonic litigation.
Matthew Wilson is a partner of Martin Law and practices exclusively in the area of claimant’s workers’ compensation since 1993. For the last 14 years, he has co-authored the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Workers’ Compensation Practice and Procedure Manual, which is known among attorneys and judges as the “bible” on workers’ compensation law. Mr. Wilson has presented multiple lectures at the spring and fall meetings of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Section. Mr. Wilson has served on the Workers’ Compensation Law Section Council of the Pennsylvania Bar Association since 2007 and is a past Chair of the organization. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations as well as the Workplace Injury Litigation Group. In 2017, Mr. Wilson was named Best Lawyers 2017 Workers Compensation Law – Claimants, “Lawyer of the Year” in Philadelphia. He was also recognized by The Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group’s Top Injured Workers’ Attorneys. Mr. Wilson is the 2018 award recipient of the Irvin Stander Memorial Award by the Pennsylvania Bar Association. This award is presented annually to an attorney whose dedication to workers’ compensation law and professionalism serves as an example to others.
