Martin Law Supports Back to School Supply Drive

Martin law is proud to be a supporter of the Young Lawyers Divisions’ (YLD) First Annual Back to School Supply Drive. Our own Maria Bermudez-Harris is the Vice Chair of the organization. Below is a message from the YLD:

The Young Lawyers Division is proud to announce that it is partnering with the Pennsylvania Bar Association Minority Bar Community Outreach Committee for its First Annual Back to School Supply Drive to obtain donations for students in economically challenged areas of the city. We are collecting backpacks, notebook paper, pens/pencils/highlighters, notebooks, composition books, rulers, dictionaries, folders, binders, pencil cases and anything else you think might be useful at designated donation centers across Philadelphia through August 27, 2013. All supplies will be distributed to local schools and recreation centers throughout Philadelphia.

We’re not done yet! We are holding a final donation drop off on Tuesday, August 27th at Martin Law from 6-8pm. During this time, volunteers will be gathered to sort supplies and commit to delivery at a later pre-arranged time to one of our designated schools/rec centers. Snacks and beer/wine will be provided by the YLD & Martin Law. Please let us know in advance if you are willing to come help out for this sorting/distribution party.

As you can see, there are a number of ways that you can contribute to this VERY worthy cause and on behalf of the YLD and the PA Bar’s Minority Bar Committee, we hope that you will consider being involved.
