UNCLAIMED BENEFITS IN A WORKERS’ COMPENSATION CASE
Do You Need Help Reopening a Workers’ Compensation Case?
Even if your initial work accident injury has healed and your workers’ compensation benefits have terminated, it is not always clear whether you will be able to perform your job again. Sometimes returning to work can cause your injury to resurface or your symptoms to worsen. In these instances, you may be able to reopen your workers’ compensation claim.
At Martin Law, our attorneys provide diligent advocacy to injured workers in the Philadelphia area and throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Founded in 1979, our firm has a long history of successfully handling all types of workers’ compensation issues. We can help you recover the benefits you need.

Petition for Reinstatement
Your employer’s workers’ compensation insurance may not readily reinstate your benefits, even if you had to quit work again because of your injury. It may be necessary to file a petition for reinstatement. Pennsylvania allows workers to file a petition for reinstatement if a worker is reinjured within 10 years of receiving his or her last benefits payment.
When we meet with you about your case, we will discuss your original workplace accident and your current injury and symptoms to determine whether we should work to reopen a former workers’ comp claim or file a new claim. Our firm can work with the insurance company on your behalf to prove that the benefits need to be reinstated.
